About Me 

I’m Paula, the maker and chief yarn stasher. I'm a mum of two and The Puffling is my creative outlet in the busy days of motherhood.

I started my little business at the end of my maternity leave with my eldest puffling. I wanted to create toys and hats that were made in a sustainable way, using natural fibres. I'm really passionate about offering personalised approach so all my products can be customised to be just the colour you want them to be. I find it so fulfilling working on my items and knowing that each one is truly unique and individual, just as their recipients are.

You will find heaps of rainbows, CE-marked toys, cosy knitwear and breastfeeding-celebrating products here. Based in West Sussex, I make each item to order. Creating new designs gives me all the thrills so if you have an idea for custom order, drop me a message and I will work with you to bring it to life.

Sustainability and environmental impact is at the core of this adventure, and I choose natural, biodegradable yarns in my makes. All my packaging is minimal, recycled whenever possible and 100% recyclable.

I'm very passionate about creating safe toys for children and I love the design process where I get to think about most optimal solutions (and minimal sewing and seams required!). I recently started writing my crochet patterns up and publishing them here (you can find the free ones on the Blog) so that you can have a go at making your own too. I love seeing all your makes from my patterns!
